Green was then seen in the TV movie Tainted Blood.
The following year she was seen as Rain in the movie Blue Flame. She then appeared in the TV film called The Burden of Proof as Kate Granum. The year 1987 saw her in the movie Three for the Road by Bil L. This movie was directed by David Seltzer and the actress received critical praise for her role. In 1986, she appeared in the romantic comedy-drama film called Lucas. That same year, she went on to appear as Jennifer Chester in the comedy film called Summer Rental. In the film, she portrayed the role of Andy Carmichael. Soon she came to the notice of Steven Spielberg who then selected her for The Goonies in 1985. While still in school Kerri Green attended movie auditions in New York and skipped summer camp.
